Luckey Haskins

from The Lights Are On at Home by The Jaywalkers

lyrics

Had our days in the sun
Had the head of the parade
Had it good when we were young
Shining gold, bold, and brave

When he swam in the sky
It felt very much like bliss
Everyone wonders why
And how he came back like this

Driving through ticker tape
Driving 25 down State Avenue
Everyone knew his name
Everyone loved Luckey Haskins

Had a pin pushed in your town
Had a map up in my place
Tied myself up with yarn
You disappeared without a trace

Driving through ticker tape
Driving 25 down State Avenue
Everyone knew his name
Everyone loved Luckey Haskins

He came back to his old house
He came back through his front door
Then his poor mother saw
What is was he come back for

about

The Jaywalkers Dayton, Ohio

The Jaywalkers were born from the creative ferment of the University of Dayton music scene of the mid ‘00s. We started out playing activities board concerts, house parties etc. and got our baptism of fire in a battle of the bands where we had the honor of squaring off against Kelly Fine and other greats of the UD music scene eventually opening for Guster at the UD Arena.

The chicks are great too.
